Educational Consulting & Aboriginal Health Projects

There is a growing awareness that a child's educational context has an impact on their present and future health. Our School Health Consulting Program works towards health promotion in Australian schools as well as in remote NT Aboriginal communities .
Since 2003 we have been working with school communities in Australia, NZ , India and USA , as well as creches in remote Indigenous communities. Michael worked in an Australian federal government project helping Aboriginal children with disabilities find inclusion into schools in 2002-6. This project involved recruiting local Indigenous community based workers and was a time rich in cultural reciprocity and '2-way learning'
Michael specialises in the therapeutic use of rhythm and movement and has developed workshops on this theme to support the teacher's rhythmic competence to deliver the morning circle every day.
